The Naughty List

I was recently invited to perform with the Frisky Fandom Burlesque troupe for their 3-day holiday show called, The Naughty List. I adapted my chair dance to fit the holiday theme.
One of the fun new things about being an angel was trying to maintain my proper modesty.
The theme of the show was we were all competing to be chosen by Miss Santa as the star on the top of the Christmas tree.
My friend Deanna was also in the show as Jewey Idol, the famous Jewish superstar. She sang "Rock the Dreidel of Love", had verses telling a brief history of Hanukkah, and had spinning dreidel pasties. I was invited to be a Jewish girl, sad that I couldn't be part of the celebration because I don't celebrate Christmas, and she comes to save the day.
 The cast.
I don't do much "burlesque" anymore, but when I do, I suuuuuure enjoy it!

Moisture Festival 7th Annual

My 7th annual performance of the Chair Dance at Moisture Festival
This year, I shared a stage with...
Jason Victor Serinus who gave me this quotable "compliment" to go with my collection: "You are the funniest female I have ever met, second only to my dog."
Tempo Turn
Naked Truth
-The Nights Band
Ron W. Bailey& Caela Bailey
I love this festival. I sure hope they have me again for my 8th annual time. =)

Anacortes Brewery 21st Anniversary

Wren and Chipp and I performed at Anacortes Brewery's the Rockfish Grill's 21st birthday/anniversary party. Wren and I juggled and roped, Chipp MC'd and did his hat act, and I sang my moustache song and chair danced.
After our performance we got to eat ribs. They were delicious.

Anacortes Brewery and Happy Little Farm Show

We had a double-header today! Chipp, Wren, and I performed for the Anacortes Brewery Anniversary Party (it turned 21). I performed the moustache song, the chair dance, and Wren and I did our juggling and rope acts. Chipp MC'd and did his banana song hat act. It all seemed to go over well. We ate some of their roasted pig, and away we went, onto our evening adventure/slew of more performances.

We love the Happy Little Farm Party aka The Giver By The River. We've been part of this quaint event for about 5 years now. Many people were unavailable to be part of the show this year, but we made it happen with a perfectly quaint little cast (minus Chelsea even, who at the last minute had to not perform because she ruptured an ovarie! Rebecca was there and helped assess and Chelsea was better after a couple hours).
We spent the night again this year in Vince, and woke up to vegetarian biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and fresh fruit. A full day of shows ending on a full morning stomach. I feel like a pretty lucky gal.

Moisture Festival again!

I love the Moisture Festival! I think this is my 5th year performing the Chair Dance. I'm so excited tehy keep having me back! This year was especially awesome, because my parents, Wren, and cousin Squeek came! That's my moms nose in the lower left of the picture. That's the closest we got to getting a family photo. But we did have dinner together, and they all said they had a great time.
So, on with the show... here I am on the poster!

Ooh, and there I am on the set list!
Along with...
Pat McGuire
Who toured around the world in over 2000 shows in Cirque du Soleil's Mystère, and Quidam.
Who I didn't know was this performer from way back that I saw in a video entertaining Ronald Regan!
Who are my friends through NOTC, and whose wedding Wren and I just attended this summer!
Hacki Ganda
Camille Swift
And, not only were all these people and I in this show, but so were the beautiful PJ and Sara Sparrow!

For the late show, Sara suggested I pick Godfrey Daniels as my "Man".
I did. It was great. More photos from the Chair Dance at the link below.

Cirque Du Salon at Sandalwood

Jason Quick, Wren, Chipps, Lucas, Thomas, and I, all performed for the Sandalwood Salon's 10 year anniversary show during the art walk! It was tons of fun, the employees were dressed to the circus-inspired nines!
Wren and I did our rope act, our high-five juggling, and I did my chair dance, and stood atop Jason while attempting to get an egg on a stick, as he layed on the bed of nails... yipes! Chipps was on stilts until the end, when the 3 fellas juggled fire outside. Then we went to our friend Collin's Classy birthday party... photos in that post. What a great night!

The Jewel of Magic

This weekend I had the honor of performing the Chair Dance for a dear friends benefit show. Crystal, the Jewel of Magic. She is an amazing woman.

Crystal, the “Jewel of Magic,” is unrivaled and a pioneer in her field. As a comedian and magician, she has performed from Japan to Jamaica and opened for acts like Steve Allen, Jay Leno and Ellen DeGeneres. Crystal’s world travels have honed her already natural talents of making peoples’ worlds brighter and full of possibilities.
Living on-and-off in Bellingham for 14 years, she has brought our community joy and laughter through the Bellingham Circus Guild, The Farmer’s Market and Allied Arts.
Presently this wonderful human is in the midst of her greatest feat yet: recovering from cancer. Now it’s our turn to bring a little magic to her life. Your donation can help her to offset these costs and help her shine as bright as she ever has.- See more at:

Moisture Festival 2014

I am proud to say, this is my 5th year performing for Moisture Festival. I kind of can't believe it! Because of this festival, I've been invited to perform for Teatro Zinzanni, and meet so many amazing people. Here is the set list from this years show. YAY!
Our MC, sweet, clownie man.
He had a bunch of awesome contraptions and a rogue bowling ball that floated away.
Awesome tap dancer.
Saffi Watson
12 year-old aerial contortionist.
A clown of 35+ years, was the lead clown for Cirque du Soleil.
Superb hand balancer with amazing props!
Hilarious Folk singer and baton twirler! And one of Wren's favorite songwriters, she was a hoot!
Awesome fun band!
Velones
Aerial duo Martha Enson of the UMO Ensemble and Cathy Sutherland of the Aerialistas and Du Caniveaux.
Dutch born, traveled with Ringling Brothers, his wife assistant did the same. Hes shown playing a violin with the bow as the base of this high stack!

(From left to right: Myself, Anneka, Laura, Dream, and Jessica) It was such a fun night!

New Old Time Chautauqua Tour

This year our tour is in the Northwest along the I-5 corridor... Seattle, Mt. Vernon, Concrete, Olympia, Camano Island and more-idore! Here's a jumble of the goings-on of the tour, like Wren and I after roving at Bellinghams Project Homeless event.
This is how our meals are served on Chautauqua... we're so lucky!
Our friends and long-time Chautauquins Harry Levine and Anne Gavzer got married on tour this year!
Part of the swag they handed out was clown noses for the guests!
I've been performing the Chair Dance for around 5 years now...
and this is my first injury from it... a pulled calf muscle. It's pretty hilarious to me, as the routine is extremely un-athletic. It's crutches for me for a while now... maybe an act will transpire...
Anyhoo, so far the tour has been super fun... I'll have more posts with photos from shows, etc. soon!

Time on the boat

There were so many things to do on the boat! Eating being a "big" one, but we also participated in a game called "what's in the bag" where you could submit your guesses to win the mystery prize. We never won, but it was fun, nonetheless. We also watched three movies (Bourne Legacy, Dark Knight Rises, and Sherlock Holmes 2) in the on-ship theater. We went to lectures, hot tubbed, learned napkin-folding, read, played chess,
played trivia and gambled, took a waltz class, lounged in the sun, used the gym, saw more shows, juggled,
watched (twice) the show by jugglers, Paul and Alexa of Airborne,
and was even in a show!
Wren and I (now "international" performers!) performed our Yippe Ky-yay duo rope routine, and below is a picture of  me doing the Chair Dance in the show!
What a great time. Travel by cruise is way more fun that I imagined... and speaking of fun, Wren was even practical joked from across the world with this little number from his mom. Fake poop... you so crazy!
