Chautauqua in Anacortes

The New Old Time Chautauqua came to Anacortes. Wren hosted and made breakfast at his generous mom's place. Thanks to Thaddeus Hink, you can see a bit of what the show was like!
Here's Wren and me performing our club juggling act.
Godfry Daniels and his floating ball.
The talented and hilarious Ty.
Alex Allen.
The Karamazov's were there.
And of course, the amazing Noodelini!

Kiwanis Celebration

To start off our 3-gig day, Wren and I performed for the Kiwanis Celebration, in downtown Anacortes. Wren was part of the Kiwanis growing up, so this was an awesome event to give back to.
Wren shared a bunch of his cool solo skills.
He's got so many!
And we did our three duo acts.
We had a sweet little crowd, and a great time. Thanks Kiwanis!

Anacortes Brewery 21st Anniversary

Wren and Chipp and I performed at Anacortes Brewery's the Rockfish Grill's 21st birthday/anniversary party. Wren and I juggled and roped, Chipp MC'd and did his hat act, and I sang my moustache song and chair danced.
After our performance we got to eat ribs. They were delicious.

Anacortes Brewery and Happy Little Farm Show

We had a double-header today! Chipp, Wren, and I performed for the Anacortes Brewery Anniversary Party (it turned 21). I performed the moustache song, the chair dance, and Wren and I did our juggling and rope acts. Chipp MC'd and did his banana song hat act. It all seemed to go over well. We ate some of their roasted pig, and away we went, onto our evening adventure/slew of more performances.

We love the Happy Little Farm Party aka The Giver By The River. We've been part of this quaint event for about 5 years now. Many people were unavailable to be part of the show this year, but we made it happen with a perfectly quaint little cast (minus Chelsea even, who at the last minute had to not perform because she ruptured an ovarie! Rebecca was there and helped assess and Chelsea was better after a couple hours).
We spent the night again this year in Vince, and woke up to vegetarian biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and fresh fruit. A full day of shows ending on a full morning stomach. I feel like a pretty lucky gal.

Masquerade Prom with Chipps

I've been invited to prom! Well, sorta. Wren's high-school teacher contacted him about juggling during Anacortes Prom. Well he and I couldn't do it (cause he's working near Mt. St. Helens with his boss and a few other stone-mason types at what we've termed "Man Camp"), so I invited Chipps! The theme was Masquerade, so we dressed the part. We didn't get a picture together, but I did take a shot of the mask I painted for myself!
We had a good time (it was Chipps' first prom!), we got pretty sweaty, dance juggled, passed, and played with our hats... all to sweet, bumpin'-loud, high school dj dance music! Thanks for the gig Wren, and Mr. Dellutri... I love my job!

Wren's Wheel Reveal!

Wren's Wheel of Fortune experience and unknown-to-the-public results have been stirring for months now. It was finally time for everyone to know the results. He threw a party at H2O and invited friends and family to come hear about his experience, watch the airing, and celebrate with free dessert.
 Wren's first win... "They're here".
Wren's second win, and the trip to Hawaii, "The warm water of the Pacific"!
Here he is with Pat Sajak, and the nice gal who almost had it.
Here we are at the viewing at H2O in front of Dream's carrot cake she made for the event..
It was quite an event. So many people from different parts of Wren's life came out. I was lucky enough to have my parents and cousin Squeek there with me to enjoy it all with.
It was such a fun night!
Here's Wren's post-airing interview in the Anacortes American.
Here's a link to his Anacortes High school youtube interview.

Wren's Wheel write-up

Wren n I in the Anacortes American.
Wren informed the Anacortes American about his upcoming television debut on Wheel of Fortune, and here is the article... Wren says, with only a few minor discrepancies in facts (like he didn't try out online first, he just went to Seattle to try out... and he didn't drive there, he took public transportation).
I'm so excited for October 30th! Good job Wren!

Anacortes Arts Festival

This year, the festival coordinated with Wren to produce a circus "Working Artists" portion of the festival. We were there for 5.5 hours showing people how to juggle, do rope tricks, etc. or just play with our toys, or ask us questions. We also performed 2 shows! It was a ton of fun.

Here's Wren, Vern, and Claire sharing their juggling skills, and hoping to entice folks to join in.
We quickly got to settin' up the aerial rig. Later on, Greg and Vern had kids harnessed in and flying from the thing!
I wanted to see how easily I could be hoisted in preparation for the flying pig act I hope to perform again someday, so here's me doing sweet hat tricks while playing on the rig.
Here's Laura toying with me when I immediately dropped my hat.
Reason number 387 I think I should be dieting... Greg: "Come help us lift you!"
The show was fun. It featured Wren, Greg, Myself, Chelsea, Laura, Vern, Esther, and Claire.
Even Jules cut out of his street show to be in one of our shows!
That weekend, Jules performed his street show 14 times! In the crazy heat and sun! What a trooper, and what a great event and weekend.

Our 3 year Anniversary!

Today was Wren and my 3-year anniversary. When we told Margaret, she said "I won't ask what started your anniversary." Or something hilariously similar. We made blueberry jam (shown in previous post), worked on our juggling and rope acts, biked downtown to the street fair, then went to the "Secret Cove" for  seafood dinner!
On our way home we rode by Wren's friend Laura's place. Soon we met her adorabley sweet, old dog, Happy. I fell swiftly in love!
After Wren peeled me away from Happy, we stopped and got ice cream and a movie for the evening. Wren made some blueberry topping (from our freshly picked blueberries!).
And he was so delighted to help me with the photograph.
It was a wonderful day spent with my even more wonderful, and wonderfully helpful, partner. Wee!
