Happy Little Farm 2019!

WooHoo! This event is the Circus Guild's FAVORITE event of the year! Happy Little Farm owners, Casey and Shelley, host this delightful potluck they call "The Giver by the River" that includes square dancing, music, great food and drinks, kids everywhere, and circus. Here's what the circus portion of this great event looked like this year.
Acro Cats, Chipp and Sadye!
Dream Frohe on the lyra.
Former guild member Ariel.
Daniel wooing the kids with his bubbles and contact ball.
Some of the many happy kids enjoying the circus antics.
The Bunion Sisters, Sadye and Heidi.
Our wonderful hosts, Casey and Shelly (with son Willoughby).
Wren and I performing our "Turn Around" juggling act as Cupids.
Justin Credible performing his hat, cane, feather, and suitcase act.
Keelia! Performing at the Giver for the first time!
Sadye and I as the hot dogs, doing our onion juggling act.
Chipp performing his almost-annual, back by popular demand, Banana of Delight. Introduced appropriately as, "Once you've seen the banana of delight, you cannot un-see it". This year, Shelley was the brave banana lighter.
This photo captures the effect of Chipp's intro for me perfectly.
The cast, including Shelley!
We can't wait for next year!

Kids Fest 2016

This was our second year at Kid's Fest.
Wren, Chipp, Harmony, and I performed a 20 minute show and taught a bunch of kids and adults how to juggle, diabolo, hula hoop, plate spin, and more!

Royal Family Kids Camp

This is the second year I've been part of this camp. It's super fun to see kids being cared for and supported in this way. This year Wren couldn't make it so Chipp filled in. What a guy.

April Brews Day

This event has been an annual event for Chipp to organize, and it's my 3rd year being part of it. It's a hugely well attended event, and all of the proceeds go to the Max Higbee Foundation.

Last year I got to perform with Alastair,
and this year I dressed Nate up in Wrens costume and we juggled together. After our shift we got to go enjoy the party. Heidi, Chipp and I hung out, and it was great. Maybe next year Wren will be back!

Mylee's in town

Mylee was in town for a few days and I had the pleasure to have her in my class. She's a brilliantly hilarious, and outrageously talented woman.  I'm so lucky to know her!
(Chipps and Mylee... perfect comedy duo)

Something Wonderful coming

Something Wonderful, a new Bellingham Circus Guild show is coming in May!
And it's gunna look a little something like this...
Most of the show is water themed, with aerial seaweed and lady bugs, tight-rope walking octopus, acro balancing rocks, hula-hooping firefly, jellyfish...these are just some of the pirates for now. Aarrr!

Kids Fest and a Wedding

Team Kids Fest 2015 at Blodel Donovan Park: Esther, Me, Wren, and Chipps. We roved, taught, performed, sweated, and had a super fun time. Then Wren and I drove down to Mt. Vernon to do more roving and perform at a wedding (with Heidi and Cecily stilting)! The wedding (Pete and Donna's Crazy Wedding) included a questionnaire and obstacle course to see who would be the best man and brides maid, and all of their vows were awesomely cheesy lyrics from songs. The minister tore open his suit jacket to reveal a Kiss shirt when he announced "You may Kiss the bride!" It was awesome. What a full, circus-filled day!

Anacortes Brewery 21st Anniversary

Wren and Chipp and I performed at Anacortes Brewery's the Rockfish Grill's 21st birthday/anniversary party. Wren and I juggled and roped, Chipp MC'd and did his hat act, and I sang my moustache song and chair danced.
After our performance we got to eat ribs. They were delicious.

Cirque Du Salon at Sandalwood

Jason Quick, Wren, Chipps, Lucas, Thomas, and I, all performed for the Sandalwood Salon's 10 year anniversary show during the art walk! It was tons of fun, the employees were dressed to the circus-inspired nines!
Wren and I did our rope act, our high-five juggling, and I did my chair dance, and stood atop Jason while attempting to get an egg on a stick, as he layed on the bed of nails... yipes! Chipps was on stilts until the end, when the 3 fellas juggled fire outside. Then we went to our friend Collin's Classy birthday party... photos in that post. What a great night!

Rivers ClownHawk Birthday

This year, River had a ClownHawk bowling party for his birthday. I of course wore Rivers moustache (he gave me his real-fake moustache years ago and is borrowing it for this picture. I'm wearing licorice.), but the name also inspired me to don my favorite clown suite, and make a balloon mohawk to compliment the look.
 Chipps was there!
Melanie was there and she couldn't get enough of Rivers Moustache.
Who could blame her, really?
 More Moustache-love from Melanie!
Rivers Mom (Joan) couldn't get enough of Santa (Gabriel), even with the evil Krampus in the background (the Dirty Birds in disguise, who swept me away for a brief, random video shoot!)
As a good clown should, I brought a bunch of other balloons for just-in-case. They fit in perfectly at the bowling alley.
Joan's moustache cake: the hair is made from licorice! Brilliant!
Birthdays, friends, costumes, cake, Santa, bowling, moustaches... thanks River, what an awesome party!
