Happy Little Farm 2019!

WooHoo! This event is the Circus Guild's FAVORITE event of the year! Happy Little Farm owners, Casey and Shelley, host this delightful potluck they call "The Giver by the River" that includes square dancing, music, great food and drinks, kids everywhere, and circus. Here's what the circus portion of this great event looked like this year.
Acro Cats, Chipp and Sadye!
Dream Frohe on the lyra.
Former guild member Ariel.
Daniel wooing the kids with his bubbles and contact ball.
Some of the many happy kids enjoying the circus antics.
The Bunion Sisters, Sadye and Heidi.
Our wonderful hosts, Casey and Shelly (with son Willoughby).
Wren and I performing our "Turn Around" juggling act as Cupids.
Justin Credible performing his hat, cane, feather, and suitcase act.
Keelia! Performing at the Giver for the first time!
Sadye and I as the hot dogs, doing our onion juggling act.
Chipp performing his almost-annual, back by popular demand, Banana of Delight. Introduced appropriately as, "Once you've seen the banana of delight, you cannot un-see it". This year, Shelley was the brave banana lighter.
This photo captures the effect of Chipp's intro for me perfectly.
The cast, including Shelley!
We can't wait for next year!

Hickstravaganza!

I had the honor of co-organizing a benefit event for an extraordinary human...
Lucas Hicks.
My folks came, and my dad brought a bunch of his yummy homemade apple cider, brandy and moonshine. There was a bar, Kurly's fry cart, a silent auction, live music (Bar Tabac,
and The Gallus Brothers),
a square dance, and a circus show with Jason Quick juggling and bed of eggs, Dream and PJ on Silks,
I did the pig dance, and Wren and I did the rope act.
Dream on Lyra, and Casey as MC.
It was a fabulous night, and we raised just over $15,000 at our 3-hour event.
Here's a write-up about it.
Thanks to the numerous donors, volunteers, and attendees.
What a smashing success!

Southern Oregon

This year I had the opportunity to go to Oregon and hang out with some fine ladies in a valley-ish part of Southern Oregon. Here they are cheering, in their unique ways, for a spontaneous volleyball game!

Our friends beautiful, sweet dog Asia.
One of the gals brought us her teenie "wienie" carrot from her garden.
We played some fun brain games, ate really good food, and maybe my favorite memorie from this gathering was a list of "thats what she saids" that had us constantly in stitches. I hope to make this an annual gathering of awesome friends, and hilarious memories.
