Messina, Sicily

Piazza Duomo (or Cathedral Square), is the main square in Messina Sicily with marvelous structures that had been restored, repaired or replaced, like the Cathedral of Messina (its gorgeous door shown here and again a few pics down), due to an earthquake and war.
Us in front of the Cathedral of Messina (we loved the walls!).
Our professional selfi skills revealed!
Orion Fountain, named after the cities mythical founder, was built to commemorate Messinas first aqueduct, and features the four rivers: Nile, Tiber, Ebore, and Camaro as symbolic entities.
The 197ft bell tower with the worlds largest animated astrological clock in the world, where at noon, the anatomical bronze figures come alive to the music of Ave Maria. A lion waves a flag, birds wings flap, a statue of Jesus appears, etc.
The doors of the Cathedral of Messina.
It-a was a Moustachia Italiana goot time-a!

Gettnn on the boat in Italy!

We trained from Nice to Savona, Italy to get on the boat (the smaller one on the right).
We walked through a huge castle to see the view of the town.
Once on the boat, we explored the many levels (12) and can see getting around the boat will be an adventure of it's own.
Our in-room TV has a channel that shows our list of stops.
I will add 7 countries to my "been there" countries list. Wow.
