Wren and I had so many adventures on our Wheel of Fortune Hawaii trip!
One of Wrens favorite things to do is to open a coconut with his bare hands, and natures tools (rocks!).
We walked a beach across from Captain Cook where Wren zenned out on with his art piece.
The graveyard of the Painted Church.
Our "Ugly Car"... yup, that's what they're advertised as, and there's no foolin about that.
Another of Wrens favorite things is eating shaved ice in hot climates.
We hiked to this waterfall where fish somehow swim up it. UP!
We hike to see pretty things.
The hike was so refreshing.
We decided to go on another hike... Waipio.
We got waaaay sweaty.
But Wren got to open another coconut.
The last part of our trip we drove to the other side of the island and stayed at our friend Scotts (in the dark shirt). He was an awesome host and fed us a bunch of neato fruit, and made us raw mamasapote pie! He brought us to many fun places.
Like this! This was part of the Champagne Ponds... that turtle was so big and just kickin' it there!
Here's another place Scott took us... to a fresh water lava tube in total darkness!
Wren went in... I applauded and stayed dry and unscared.
We met his friend Jacob, a clown, who was excited to refresh his juggling skills.
Here's another Wren favorite... reading a book while lying in a hammock, in the shade, on some warm sunny paradise-like island.
Wren made these sweet shirts for us... mine said "My boyfriend won on wheel of fortune and all i got was to tag along on a free trip to Hawaii, to see him win a bunch of money, and for me to hear about this adventure for a lifetime."
We went to Belly Acres and saw the property, then juggled with Daniel, Morgan and Tristen. We played trivia with friends and won. I snorkled (which is kind of a big deal). We got in a mild car accident while riding with Jeff and Lindsey (no one was seriously hurt). We hiked through sometimes knee-high water in dark tubes with Becca to a water shoot. We saw giant crashing waves from our hotel room. We rose at sunrise to see the tidepools and turtleheads and have a dip in the Queens Bath before returning our car and heading to the airport.
It was a wonderful adventure, with an awesome partner, that just happened to have an amazing story behind it... the story of a lifetime.
