Hawaii on Wheel - Adventures

Wren and I had so many adventures on our Wheel of Fortune Hawaii trip!
One of Wrens favorite things to do is to open a coconut with his bare hands, and natures tools (rocks!).
We walked a beach across from Captain Cook where Wren zenned out on with his art piece.
The graveyard of the Painted Church.
Our "Ugly Car"... yup, that's what they're advertised as, and there's no foolin about that.
Another of Wrens favorite things is eating shaved ice in hot climates.
We hiked to this waterfall where fish somehow swim up it. UP!
We hike to see pretty things.
The hike was so refreshing.
We decided to go on another hike... Waipio.
We got waaaay sweaty.
But Wren got to open another coconut.
The last part of our trip we drove to the other side of the island and stayed at our friend Scotts (in the dark shirt). He was an awesome host and fed us a bunch of neato fruit, and made us raw mamasapote pie! He brought us to many fun places.

Like this! This was part of the Champagne Ponds... that turtle was so big and just kickin' it there!
Here's another place Scott took us... to a fresh water lava tube in total darkness!
Wren went in... I applauded and stayed dry and unscared.
We met his friend Jacob, a clown, who was excited to refresh his juggling skills.
Here's another Wren favorite... reading a book while lying in a hammock, in the shade, on some warm sunny paradise-like island.
Wren made these sweet shirts for us... mine said "My boyfriend won on wheel of fortune and all i got was to tag along on a free trip to Hawaii, to see him win a bunch of money, and for me to hear about this adventure for a lifetime."
We went to Belly Acres and saw the property, then juggled with Daniel, Morgan and Tristen. We played trivia with friends and won. I snorkled (which is kind of a big deal). We got in a mild car accident while riding with Jeff and Lindsey (no one was seriously hurt). We hiked through sometimes knee-high water in dark tubes with Becca to a water shoot. We saw giant crashing waves from our hotel room. We rose at sunrise to see the tidepools and turtleheads and have a dip in the Queens Bath before returning our car and heading to the airport.
It was a wonderful adventure, with an awesome partner, that just happened to have an amazing story behind it... the story of a lifetime.

Hawaii on Wheel - The Sheratin

Upon arrival to the Big Island, we were collected by Ani and Banjo, who promptly adorned  us with grass skirt and coco-knockers. It was awesome.
One of the days at the Sheratin they had an avocado festival! What fun! There are so many varieties, and some are so huge!
Like this big feller, nearly the size of my face!
Here is where one of the avocados went.
Part of Wrens big Wheel winning was a Luau at the Sheratin. It was all you can eat and drink, and the show was really fun and  informative.
Oh, and I got this sick tatoo. Boom, gecko.
One of the dances from the evening.
One of the rare times we actually "hung out" at the pool. We ended up visiting with so many poeple during our vacation, we rarely had a moment to ourselves. So here we are, doing a crossword together... aaaw.
One thing we super appreciated about the Sheratin was if you didn't want your room cleaned, they would leave you a $5 gift certificate to use at any of the resturants in the place. YAY! So we saved 'em up and used them on our last day. Awesome.
Oh, and this cool cat was on the property. Killer web design, dude!
I took a few outdoor yoga classes here, they had a free trolly from the hotel into town, I saw manta rays, and maybe even a dolphin from our hotel. All in all the Sheratin was a sweet place for our winning vacation.

Hawaii on Wheel - The waterslide

This is a snippet of our pool...

where Wren and I juggled (we juggled in and out of the pool). Jeff Leff took these photos when he wasn't playing sweet concertina music for us.
In the pool we also practiced two-highs!
And competed in the daily water-slide speed competition where you could win a smoothie! Jeff and Lindsey slid with us too.
Wren tried and tried, but he never won...
but someone else we know did...
That's right, me! I won! At a whopping 10 seconds or something!
Wren was so happy for me.
Happy to the last drop.
Man, pool time was fun time for Wren and me!

My Circus Valentine 2015

This was the 5th (almost) Annual Circus Valentine's Day show.
The last show (2 years ago) Wren and I performed our rope act in wedding attire. This year's show I performed the moustache strip-tease.
My parents came! Jeff Lefferts set up his photo booth so we got some sweet shots.
Wren was there too!

So many people were there!
Sometimes when things are so cute, it's just gross.
Wren and I took our time in the booth seriously.
We had a few differences of opinion.
 But we quickly settled them.
But didn't know Jeff was still photographing!
It all worked out in the end though with no one getting (seriously) hurt.
Cecily snapped this doosey of me trimmin' my 'stache backstage.
 The cast.
Happy Valentine's Day!
